Apple slashes more than $200 off refurbished MacBook Airs

Redesigned MacBook Air model tipped to arrive with exciting new features

Ever been envious of a friend’s super-slim Macbook Air but haven’t wanted to shell out the cash required to purchase one? Well, now might be the time to consider taking the plunge, as 9to5Mac reports that Apple (AAPL) has taken a big axe to the prices of its 2010 Macbook Air models and is selling a refurbished 11.6-inch, 64GB Air for just $679, a price cut of $220. The refurbished 11.6-inch, 128GB Air has seen an even bigger discount and is now selling for $719, a price cut of $380. As 9to5Mac says, though, interested buyers should act fast since these discounted computers rarely stay in stock for long.
