The news came after the company announced its new iPhone 5, calling it "the most beautiful product we have ever made."
Although the iPhone 5 is the star of the event, it's been long rumored that Apple would be revamping its iPods, as well. The new iPod nano features a 2.5-inch multi-touch display and is 38% thinner than previous models. The volume controls take up about half the side of the gadget.
