'SNL' star Bill Hader and wife of 11 years Maggie Carey announce divorce

Bill Hader and his wife, director Maggie Carey, are divorcing after 11 years of marriage, People confirmed Friday.

The longtime "Saturday Night Live" cast member joined the show in 2005 and wed Carey a year later. They have three daughters -- Hannah, 8, Harper, 5, and Hayley, 3.

Hader, 39, left "SNL" in 2013. He and Carey, 42, reportedly separated in July of this year.

He's currently filming the upcoming movie "Nicole" alongside Anna Kendrick. Carey recently directed episodes of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," starring Hader's longtime friend and "SNL" co-star Andy Samberg.
