'The Simpson's' Paint a Doom and Gloom Outlook for Trump's Presidency as He Reaches First 100 Days

As President Trump marks his first 100 days in office, The Simpsons has taken the opportunity to lampoon the commander in chief.

In Sunday’s episode, the Fox cartoon depicts the White House as a haunted house with President Trump touting his accomplishments while surrounded by books titled, The Little Book of Big Lies, Killing is a Good Thing and Florida on $10 Million a Day.

"One hundred days in office, so many accomplishments – lowered my golf handicap, my Twitter following increased by 700, and finally, we can shoot hibernating bears," the animated president says in a promo for the upcoming episode. "My boys will love that!”

In the episode trailer, an animated version of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer is seen hanging himself in the briefing room, while Steve Bannon strangles Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner.

Also in the episode, Ivanka Trump replaces Ruth Bader Ginsberg on the Supreme Court.

The clip ends with Homer and Marge Simpson on the sofa watching the news as the exasperated matriarch says, "This is horrible!"

She then pops what appears to be Xanax and turns to her husband saying: “This was supposed to last me the whole four years!"

Homer then tells his wife to give Trump a chance as ICE agents take his father away because he doesn’t know where he came from.

The long-running animated series is no stranger to politics, with episodes poking fun at each of the last several Oval Office occupants. 

In 2000, The Simpsons famously predicted that Donald Trump would become president.
