'Onward Together!' Hillary Clinton, With New Slogan, Will Help Fund The Trump #Resistance

Hillary Clinton is not only out of the woods - she’s ready to resist.

After taking a few months off the national stage following her loss in the 2016 presidential election, Clinton says she’s ready to get back into the nitty gritty of politics - and join #resistance.

Clinton is planning to launch a political group to raise money for progressive-minded groups and organizations, a Democratic source confirms to PEOPLE. The group will be called Onward Together-a nod to her presidential campaign’s slogan, Stronger Together- and will work with those trying to push back on President Donald Trumps agenda.

Over the past few weeks, Clinton has been meeting with potential donors and investors, and evaluating groups to fund. Getting back in the political scene has her “fired up,” the source tells PEOPLE.

“This is something she’s really fired up about, the opportunity to help lift up all the groups that are working to harness the energy and activism since the election and turn it into action,” says the source. “She’s met with a lot of them, they’re organizing, recruiting young people to run, and giving them the tools they need to succeed, and she’s been inspired by it. So she’s going to be really focused on supporting these groups and their efforts.”

Former Democratic Party chair and Vermont Gov. Howard Dean is Clinton’s main collaborator on Onward Together, the Democrat source says.

Also working with Clinton on the new venture is Dennis Cheng, her campaign finance chair (and former Clinton Foundation staffer), as well as Judith McHale, who was one of her undersecretaries of state, according to Politico.

Though the group’s launch isn’t expected until next week, Clinton has already been participating in the resistance. At a Q&A session with Christiane Amanpour on Tuesday, she declared that she’s now a “part of the resistance” to Trump.

“I’m back to being an activist citizen, and part of the resistance,” she said.

Later that day, she spoke about women’s rights at a gala celebrating Planned Parenthood’s 100 year anniversary. She’s been vocal on Twitter, too: She tweeted her disappointment about the House’s passage of the American Health Care Act yesterday.

Clinton’s enthusiasm for the new project is evident to those on the other end of her personal correspondence. With the new group’s debut just a few days away, she’s adopted a fitting sign-off to her notes and letters: “Onward!”
