What 'Mr. Brightside' would sound like as football commentary
There's no end to the appeal of "Mr Brightside," the song of bleary nights out and responsible for many rusty voices. It also makes for excellent radio.
With the AFL Grand Final on Saturday, the biggest event in Australian rules football, commentator Gerard Whateley tried his hand at mixing football commentary with the hit song on radio station triple j.

Suffice it to say, it sounds pretty good, and the euphoria of it all is still intact.
The Killers' hit is 14 years old, but it's still as popular as ever. There's only been a handful of occasions where "Mr. Brightside" has left the UK Top 100.
The band is also performing at the AFL Grand Final, and posted a photo from its soundcheck on Thursday.
No surprises on what tune will get the crowd going.
