Traditionally, the winner of the Indy 500 drinks a cool refreshing glass of milk after pulling into victory lane. The American Dairy Association of Indiana released the milk preferences for all 33 drivers in this year's running of the 500, and there are some interesting choices.

Most drivers picked either whole or two-percent milk, while Jay Howard, Charlie Kimball, Matheus Leist, and Danica Patrick opted for fat free. Will Power, chilled out as ever, says he's "good with any kind of milk," as is Zachary Claman DeMelo.

Pole-sitter Ed Carpenter chose whole milk, but he "really wants buttermilk for tradition." He's referencing Louis Meyer, who started the tradition of drinking milk at Indy after he requested a glass of buttermilk following victory in the 1933 running. It's something he found 'refreshing' on a hot day. We're not sure how refreshing buttermilk could be after driving flat-out for 500 miles, but if it's good enough for Louis Meyer, it's good enough for us.
