Jamie Lomas has revealed he lost a considerable amount of weight on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

During last night's grand final [December 10], he was crowned this year's runner-up. But after spending three weeks living in the jungle, often surviving on just rice and beans, he confirmed on Good Morning Britain today that he had lost 1.5 stone during the show.

"The biggest challenge in there for me was the hunger," Jamie said. "I went nine days with one meal. I'm half the man I was when I went in there. I lost about 1.5 stone in there."

Jamie also revealed he had to change his outfit at the last minute before coming on the live show, after Richard Arnold joked that his jumper made him look like "the Milk Tray man".

Jamie explained: "I had to to take my shirt off because it was too big for me. Honestly, so I had to wear this jumper. But what a great time I had!"

Although Jamie admitted jungle life could be tough at times, he insisted he thoroughly enjoyed the experience and planned to stay in touch with all of his fellow campers.

"Without any shadow of a doubt, it was just amazing," the former Hollyoaks star continued. "It was a massive roller coaster. Just meeting 12 amazing people – they are people I will stay in touch with for the rest of my life. You can't put a price on that.

"But it was one of the hardest things I've ever done – although the good times far outweigh the bad."

Jamie explained that the hunger affected people's moods on the show.

"I believe the word is 'hangry'," he laughed.

However, now they've all had food, the soap star insisted he can't wait to spend some time with everyone off camera and go for a drink.

"I've never met a group of people that get on so well," Jamie added. "From the start when we went in, we all had each others' backs."

Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays from 6am on ITV.
