Harry Potter has deep roots in Edinburgh, being the place where the first Harry Potter book was written by JK Rowling all those years ago.
But that's not the only connection – there is now a luxury Hogwarts-style holiday apartment available to rent all year round, at around £150 per night, for lovers of Harry and co.
Located in Edinburgh's Canongate, the flat was transformed by Harry Potter fan Yue Gao within a period of seven months. The extraordinary apartment includes a master bedroom fitted out like a Gryffindor dorm room, complete with a four-poster bed and candles that look like they're floating.
The second double bedroom is smaller and has been decorated like a carriage from the Hogwarts Express.
The living room is decked out like the Gryffindor common room, while the hallway is covered in portraits (though sadly they don't move). Each door in the flat has been painted in a Hogwarts house colour, along with the house crest.
To add another level of fan-spiration to the renovation, there's even a desk and mirror in the flat that once belonged to JK Rowling herself. It's not all completely olde worlde like the Hogwarts castle, thought, as it comes fitted with mod cons including digital TVs, WiFi and game consoles.
The apartment is not just wonderful for its magical interiors either – its location is also enchanting, as the flat overlooks the famous Royal Mile in the Scottish capital.
