'We are having a boy': Amy Schumer talks about her bundle of joy with Chris Fischer

The comedian welcomed her first child nearly 6 weeks ago and has been documenting the reality of motherhood since then.

It's a boy!

Amy Schumer nearly slipped one past fans in an Instagram post slamming fast-food chain Wendy's.

"Hey! We love @chancetherapper and hate to be the ones to tell him that Wendys is the only fast food chain refusing to protect farmworker women from sexual assault and rape in the fields," the actress wrote Saturday. "This is true. Please read that sentence again. Message for the people in charge: Instead of spicy nuggets, we want food that is harvested with dignity NOT violence. Please join the @fairfoodprogram and #BoycottWendys link in my bio of how you can help."

Then, Schumer added one last thought to her political message: "Also we are having a boy."

The 37-year-old Schumer shared the news alongside a photo of her and husband Chris Fischer sitting in what looks to be a waiting room filled with toys.

The post came two days after her "imagine how I feel" photo from an exam room, with Schumer's bright yellow "I Hate Mondays" T-shirt rucked up to show her belly, an ultrasound on a screen over one shoulder and Fischer looking at his phone over the other.

"Oh yeah does it feel to everyone like I’ve been pregnant for a long time? It must be getting annoying to you all that I’m still pregnant," Schumer said in Friday's post. "Well imagine how I feel mother (expletive)!!!!!!"

Pregnant celebrities 2019: Who's due, baby bump pics and gender reveals

The star has been open about how difficult her first pregnancy has been. She's been suffering from hyperemesis, which causes severe vomiting and landed her in the hospital in November. She was also severely ill in February and had to cancel comedy tour dates.

In a recent appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" to promote her new Netflix special, "Growing," Schumer joked that she "didn't know that pregnancies could be such a bummer."

"I threw up a bunch of times on my way here. Worth it, love you guys so much," she admitted, before acknowledging her relative privilege. "I'm lucky, I have good health care and I get an IV and survive."
