The iPhone X that Apple unveiled yesterday has plenty of next-level features, from animated emojis to the elimination of the home button, but one upgrade specifically caught the attention of Game of Thrones fans: facial recognition.
Dubbed "FaceID," the feature allows users to unlock their devices just by looking at it. (Goodbye fingerprint readers, hello 3D face scanners.) The process has a 1 in 1,000,000 error rate, Apple's Phil Schiller announced, making it easier for you to open your phone and harder for other people to break in. But GoT fans joked about the latter-Arya Stark could probably hack her way in anyway.
If you need a quick refresher, the youngest Stark daughter trained with the Faceless Men in Braavos, making her capable of impersonating any person as long as she has their face. She'd likely be able to masquerade her way into people's iPhones after killing them (you know, if iPhones existed in Westeros).
So Twitter responded with Arya memes:
One person who can unlock anyone's iPhone ]]>📱😂😛
