'My 600-lb Life' Star Lisa Fleming Dies at 50
Lisa Fleming, a star of "My 600-lb Life," has died at 50.
Her daughter, Danielle, posted a touching tribute to her mother on Facebook Thursday.
“I am truly at a loss for words right now. God knows I wanted you to hold on until I got here but He knew what was best for me,” Danielle wrote. “I didn’t need to see you like that! This morning I sat and held your hand for 4 hours knowing nothing I could’ve done would bring you back to me.”
She concluded: "Rest In Peace."
Lisa appeared on season six of the show. When she first sought help from "My 600-lb Life," she weighed over 700 pounds and maggots were discovered in the folds of her skin.
Since she was featured back in February, Lisa had lost 200 pounds and could finally stand on her own, Danielle said.
Danielle added that her mother's weight did not contribute to her death. “At the end she was sick and her body was tired, and her body just gave out,” Danielle told TMZ.
TLC, which airs "My 600-lb Life," offered its condolences to Lisa's family.
"TLC is saddened to hear that Lisa Fleming, who appeared on My 600-lb Life, passed away on August 23, 2018. ... TLC shares its deepest sympathies to Lisa's family and friends."
