Apartment fire results in $250,000 property damage
May 17—LIMA — The Lima Fire Department recently said the estimated cost of the property damage from a fire that occurred at The Vineyards apartments at 2370 N. Cole St. on March 22 is $250,000.
The fire started at building 1269 and resulted in fire damage to two apartments and smoke and water damage to others. No injuries were reported. American Township and Shawnee Township fire departments responded with Lima.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation but the Lima Fire Department believes the fire originated on the balcony of an apartment.
