WASHINGTON (AP) — Wholesale prices rose in October for the fourth straight month due to higher gas costs, but there was little sign of inflation as the cost of food, cars and computers all fell. The Labor Department said Tuesday that the Producer Price Index rose 0.4 percent last month, the same increase as September and August. Wall Street analysts had expected a larger increase. The index is up by 4.3 percent in the past 12 months.

The Cabinet approved Bout's extradition Tuesday after a long legal battle, and police said the 43-year-old was put aboard a plane that departed Bangkok at about 1:30 p.m. (0630 GMT; 1:30 a.m. EST) in the custody of eight U.S. officials.

(AP) — Randy Quaid and his wife are due back in a Santa Barbara courthouse Tuesday for two hearings that could result in arrest warrants and restraining orders if they don't show up. The criminal hearing will be the fourth time a judge and prosecutors have tried to arraign Randy and Evi Quaid on charges they vandalized the guesthouse of a home they used to own. Authorities have accused them of causing more than $5,000 in damage to the hillside home.
PARIS (AP) — A U.S. investigation into allegations of doping in professional cycling has shifted its focus to France, and talks are scheduled with police officials and the French agency that has stored some of Lance Armstrong's urine samples. The French anti-doping agency plans to share everything it knows with the Americans, a French official said. The official spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to publicly discuss the meeting, which he said is scheduled for this week.
