Anya Hindmarch Is Bringing The Sixties Back

Anya Hindmarch’s first ready-to-wear collection was one of the hot tickets for day three of London Fashion Week. Set in an incredible sci-fi space, the clothes mixed elements of the sixties with looks from the future. Also revealing a brand new bag style, here are all the top bits from the designer’s SS17 ‘Circulus’ show.

The Scene: Guests crowded around a stark white circle, looking down into the futuristic space. All of a sudden, the stairs slid back to reveal Hindmarch’s clinical posse of girls. While models showed off their wares, a hovering blue UFO began to descend, appearing to swallow them at the finale.

The Collection: Models wore a variety of neoprene coats from white lab-like designs to brighter pinks. Most looks featured geometric appliqués attached to sleeves or pockets worn with furry emoji sliders, dainty heels and white trainers. As for the bags, Hindmarch sent out mini glittered styles complete with furry hearts and flowers along with monochrome Rubik’s Cube designs.

The Hair: Master hairstylist Sam McKnight styled models’ hair into sleek ponytails topped off by a scarf reminiscent of a bandage.

The It Bag: Hindmarch revealed a brand new bag style for SS17: the Stack. With multiple compartments and zips, this is like buying five bags for the price of one. (Or that’s what you can tell your bank balance.)
