Anti-Mask Demonstrator Ejected From Disney World While Misquoting 'A Bug's Life'
A man who said he was trying to “challenge” a mask ordinance was escorted from Disney’s Hollywood Studios near Orlando, Florida, on September 15, and was filmed incorrectly quoting Pixar’s A Bug’s Life as it happened.
The man, Roy Fields, is a Christian musician and conspiracy theorist who went viral only six days prior after posting a video on Facebook in which he claimed that folding US paper currency revealed successive images of the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and Washington on September 11, 2001.
In a two-and-a-half-hour Facebook video that has since been deleted, but which has been reposted elsewhere, Fields live-streamed his one-man demonstration at Walt Disney World. In that video, Fields tells guests to repent, claims COVID-19 deaths had been purposely inflated, and says is preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
This video of Fields, shot by Pete Carney, shows him incorrectly quoting a line from Pixar’s 1998 computer-animated movie “A Bug’s Life” as several security guards are trying to escort him off the grounds.
“Remember the movie that came out at Walt Disney World?” yells Fields. “It was called A Bug’s Life! Remember Hopper? If one guy stands up, one ant stands up, then they’ll all stand up and they’ll lose control,” he continues. The quote Fields is paraphrasing is: “You let one ant stand up to us, then they all might stand up.”
The park currently requires all guests to wear facial coverings due to COVID-19 restrictions, and may continue to do so until spring of 2021, or until there is a vaccine, according to Orange County, Florida, officials. Credit: Pete Carney via Storyful
