Another twist in the life of Rosie O'Donnell's daughter Chelsea: She makes another pregnancy announcement

Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter Chelsea has a new love and a new pregnancy.

Last September, amid drama with her famous mom, Chelsea sold some personal gossip to the tabloid Daily Mail that she and her husband, Nick Alliegro, were expecting their first child together and the baby was due in May 2018. In the interview, Chelsea said that Rosie would have nothing to do with the baby — and she didn’t feel bad making that decision. But Chelsea and Alliegro‘s social media followers soon noticed that something was up. Chelsea, who had been living in Texas with her husband, returned to Wisconsin, the home state of her birth mother. Meanwhile, Alliegro seemed to have embarked on a romance with someone new.

Now, at the time of their baby’s due date, Chelsea shared with her social media followers that she’s pregnant — and due early next year.

Confused? Well, so were we, but it seems that Chelsea parted ways with Alliegro at some point last fall and her pregnancy didn’t last. It wasn’t a “conscious uncoupling” — they fought over their dog, which Alliegro apparently kept.

But now the headline-making O’Donnell kid is happy in a relationship with someone new, Jacob Bourassa. She made their relationship official on social media on March 27, but he had actually posted that they were in a relationship back on Nov. 24.

And he got her a new dog to replace the one that “dickhead,” presumably Alliegro, kept.

Amid all this drama, Chelsea seems to have settled her ongoing public rift with Rosie. When Chelsea gave that interview to the tabloid, it was around the time that Rosie’s ex-wife Michelle Rounds died — and Chelsea freely offered negative tidbits about Rosie’s marriage to Rounds. Rosie wasn’t happy, accusing Chelsea of profiting off of Rounds’s death. However, they must have buried the hatchet because Rosie liked Chelsea’s recent pregnancy announcement.

And Chelsea has been posting family photos including Rosie. (Chelsea has remained on good terms with Rosie’s first wife, Kelli Carpenter, who went on to remarry singer Anne Steele.)

Rosie and Chelsea have been publicly sparring since 2015, when Chelsea ran away from home just before her 18th birthday. Soon after Rosie made a public plea for help finding her daughter, whom she said suffered from mental illness, Chelsea was found in the home of an alleged drug dealer in New Jersey, but the teen didn’t return home. Chelsea, who has said that she suffers from anxiety, met Alliegro in a Dunkin’ Donuts in 2016 and secretly married him three months later. While Rosie and Chelsea made up briefly — long enough for Chelsea and Alliegro to accompany Rosie to a cancer benefit in June 2016 — it didn’t last. When Chelsea was hospitalized for a reported drug overdose in September 2016, Rosie learned at the hospital that her daughter had married. The drama between them escalated.

Those days are behind them now — thankfully. Meanwhile, Chelsea isn’t the only one of Rosie’s kids reaching big milestones: Rosie’s son Parker, 23, announced his engagement via social media in March.

Rosie has not commented on her daughter’s pregnancy.
