Another major outdoor summer concert is coming, Boise. This one is ‘Slightly Dirty’

Two touring bands that are more than a little familiar with the Boise area are headed back this year.

Slightly Stoopid and the Dirty Heads will bring their Slightly Dirty Summer Tour to the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater in Nampa on Friday, Aug. 16. The opening acts will be Common Kings and The Elovaters.

Tickets become available to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday through fordidahocenter.com for $38.50 to $98.50 plus fees. Presales start Tuesday.

With breezy sounds influenced by reggae, rock and other genres, Slightly Stoopid and the Dirty Heads have performed multiple times in the Treasure Valley. Slightly Stoopid co-headlined with Sublime with Rome last July at the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater. The Dirty Heads headlined the same venue a month earlier. Both bands were formed in Southern California in the 1990s.

“Slightly Dirty Summer 2024 is gonna be nuts!” Slightly Stoopid co-frontman Miles Doughty said in a media release. “It’s been a minute since we did a full summer tour with our brothers the Dirty Heads, and we are excited to get this party started. ... Looking forward to playing some new songs all summer while hitting new venues and some cities we have never played!”
