The home invasion was carried out by three women, according to police. On Oct. 27, 2023, three women entered a house on Story Road and stole cash, IDs, and other property. A man served as the getaway driver, investigators said. Surveillance cameras recorded images of the thieves.

The most recently-nabbed suspect was the getaway driver, Stefan Dila, 37, of Charlotte, North Carolina, according to the San Jose Police Department. Dila was found by officers in Georgia, arrested, and brought back to California to face charges.
