Patrick O’Rourke, founder of Cops for K.O.P.S. and retired police chief said, “Just by being here today, they’re meeting other families that have sustained a line of duty death in their families so some of them actually have benefited from some of the emotional support that we can give them references for.”

Organizers say not only does the fundraiser help families financially but they gain emotional support as well.
