Annie Man denies husband is in debt
18 Aug - Actress Annie Man has denied reports saying that her husband Jason Lee is being chased by loan sharks.
As reported on On CC, rumours of Jason's debt sparked after several notices were posted around the area of their residence, claiming that Jason has failed to pay his debts.
Sources then claimed that Annie is now trying to make her TV comeback with the help of good friend Charmaine Sheh in order to provide for her family and help her husband pay for his loans.
It is said that Charmaine is currently trying to get TVB to cast Annie in a drama project, while the latter tries to earn more money in mainland China.
However, when asked about the rumours recently, Annie stated that it was just a groundless allegation against her husband.
"I'm currently discussing with my lawyer to pursue legal action, since this issue has caused unnecessary trouble to my daughter and damages my husband's reputation," she added.
This isn't the first time someone was accused of running away from debt. It was previously reported that similar situation has happened to Pace Wu's father, although the actress stressed that there is no truth to the matter.
