Animated ‘Deadpool,’ a ‘Lego Movie’ Spinoff, and Other New Shows In the Works

There’s a new crop of shows on the horizon, and we’ve got the scoop! From reboots to caped heroes, some of these series will certainly be worth checking out. The TV trend of superhero shows continues, with the CW ordering Black Lightning, based on one of DC’s first black superheroes; Marvel’s Inhumans coming to ABC; Marvel’s Runaways on Hulu; and the next X-Men series, The Gifted, on Fox.

There’s also a slew of shows coming out that have already appeared as movies, like Judge Dredd, which has no network attached yet; Deadpool, which will be in the form of an animated series on FXX created by Donald Glover; and The Vampire Chronicles, based on Anne Rice’s book series, which you may remember on the big screen as Interview With the Vampire starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. In addition, the first official trailer for The Mist just dropped. The series will air on Spike TV.

A number of spinoffs and reboots are also in the works, including one for That’s So Raven, titled Raven’s House, on Disney Channel; a Black-ish spinoff, coming to Freeform; and spinoffs of Game of Thrones on HBO. And there’s a series featuring the Lego Movie character Unikitty, as well as a reboot of the indulgent ’80s soap Dynasty on the CW.

In the comedy category, there’s Ghosted, on Fox, which is described as an X-Files-ish comedy; a Will Ferrell-produced airline comedy, L.A. to Vegas, also on Fox; and the Seth Meyers series A.P. Bio, on NBC.
