Angry Crowd Gathers at Scene Where Indiana Man Was Shot by Police After Streaming Pursuit

Indianapolis locals squared off with police on May 6 after an officer-involved fatal shooting that was streamed on Facebook by the man reportedly killed.

Police said they began pursing the man when he was seen driving a vehicle recklessly.

The man, identified by family members as Sean Reed, can be seen in the live video speaking about an apparent chase as it unfolds before he leaves the car and several gunshot-like sounds are heard. Screen recordings of the video had been widely shared across social networks.

This video shows a crowd gathered at the scene of the shooting. They are separated from the line of officers by tape, and several of the group can be heard yelling at police.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department had not named the officer involved in the shooting. Police told local news outlets that a gun was found at the scene and the suspect and officer had exchanged shots. Credit: Cameron Ridle – WRTV via Storyful
