Angelababy joins "Independence Day 2"
5 Jun - Newlywed model-actress Angelababy has been officially cast in Roland Emmerich's upcoming film, "Independence Day 2".
As reported on Scified, the 26 year-old actress' casting was announced by Emmerich on 4 June via Twitter.
The director wrote, "Just signed one of China's brightest young stars to the cast of #IndependenceDay2! Welcome Angelababy!"
The news came after it was revealed that Singaporean actor Chin Han will be joining the movie.
However, no news yet as to Angelababy's role in the film.
The movie is currently filming in New Mexico and is scheduled for a 2016 release.
