Angela Woodard wins Palestine City Council seat
May 6—Angela Woodard is the winner of the Palestine City Council District 5 election. Woodard garnered 55% of the vote in the May 4 election, according to unofficial returns.
Woodard received 102 votes to incumbent candidate Krissy Clark's 85 votes.
Election results are considered unofficial until votes are canvassed. According to City Manager Teresa Herrera, the unofficial total will be canvassed Monday, May 13. Herrera said Woodard will be sworn in after the canvas.
