Andy Cohen Says He Isn’t Avoiding Taylor Swift After Their Awkward Run-In: ‘I’m a Huge Fan’
It appears Andy Cohen does not have any “Bad Blood” with Taylor Swift.
The Watch What Happens Live host, 48, told reporters that he isn’t afraid of running into the 26-year-old pop star after their awkward encounter at a Met Gala after party.
“No. I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan, and knowing me, I’ll run towards her,” he told reporters at The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 7 premiere party at the Sofitel Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills when asked if he would try to avoid her after he revealed their encounter.
In November, Cohen sat down with EW and PEOPLE Director Jess Cagle to talk about his new book, Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries. During their conversation, he shared a cringe-worthy story about a moment with Swift.
Cohen told Cagle he was sitting by the bar waiting for a drink when he overheard the singer looking for a seat with a friend. Even though Swift wasn’t talking to him, Cohen decided to interject anyway.
“I said, ‘Your friend Katy is over there,’ ” recalls Cohen, adding that he has a history of saying exactly the wrong thing to people. “She goes, ‘Katy who?’ I go, ‘Katy Perry.’ ”
Cohen went on to say Swift was not amused by his comment (she and Perry have a dramatic history together) and she asked that he not talk about the supposed feud on his show. And while he refrained from mentioning it on his talk show, Cohen added the story to his book.
Although he wasn’t trying to be “shady,” Cohen said he realized that’s how he came off in that interaction. “Maybe I am a shady a– bitch that I did put it in the book,” he says. “I think the story is about what a douche I am in that instance.”

As for other people he mentioned in his book, Cohen said he hasn’t heard from any haters.
“I’ve heard back from friends, but not anyone that I pissed off,” he said. “I think those people are talking behind my back or just not being in contact with me.”
