Andi Dorfman Sympathizes with Bachelorette Ex Chris Soules After 'Horrific, Life-Altering Tragedy'
Andi Dorfmans heart goes out to Chris Soules after he was arrested earlier this week in connection with a deadly car accident.
The former Bachelorette star has spoken out about Soules, whom she dated on the show in 2014 and who was charged on Tuesday with leaving the scene of a crash after his truck collided with the tractor of Kenneth E. Mosher.
“It’s all very sad,” Dorfman, 30, told Entertainment Tonight. “I haven’t talked to Chris yet but, knowing him, I know that he is probably devastated.”
A 911 call released Wednesday morning revealed that Soules, 35, was distraught on Monday night as he took the pulse of Mosher, 66, moments after the man and his tractor were launched into a ditch in Aurora, Iowa. He subsequently asked another, unidentified person on the scene to perform CPR on Mosher, but the 66-year-old ultimately succumbed to his fatal injuries.
“My thoughts go out to [Mosher] and his family, as well as the Soules family,” Dorfman told ET. “You never want to hear that a friend has been involved in a horrific, life-altering tragedy like this. I’m just saddened for everyone involved.”
A rep for the reality star told PEOPLE yesterday that Soules “was devastated” by Mosher’s death and added, “His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher’s family.”
Soules was allegedly in possession of alcoholic beverages and containers, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, and the Iowa State Patrol alleged during his first court appearance on Tuesday that Soules allegedly refused to leave a house where he and his vehicle were found until officers obtained a search warrant several hours later. Neither Soules’ rep nor his lawyers have yet commented on the charges.
