Analysis: Trump, Biden court working-class voters
BILL BARROW: So we've seen recently, Democratic candidate Joe Biden kind of go back to a familiar argument that he's made over the course of his career. And that's that he's sort of this middle class Joe. He used to love calling himself that in the Senate.
JOE BIDEN: And were losing Scranton, and Lackawanna County. so I got put on the ticket. This is home. I know these people.
BILL BARROW: But what's really standing out is sort of this personal comparison that he's drawing between Biden, who grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and then in Delaware, and Trump, who grew up in New York City with a wealthy real estate developer father. And then has become a billionaire real estate developer, reality television star himself. Biden is sort of just saying, you know, he's playing you. He doesn't get you. I understand why you're mad-- why you were mad in 2016-- but I won't forget you. This guy has. Don't fall for this guy again.
