Amy Winehouse Found Dead After Suspected Overdose
Sky News is reporting that Amy Winehouse, the 27-year-old singer, has been found dead at her London flat. Police sources have confirmed her passing, Nick Buckley, the assistant editor for news at the Sunday Mirror, tweeted: "Found at her North London home at 3.54pm. Drink and drugs overdose suspected."

Officers were called by the ambulance service to an address in NW1 just after 4pm today.
"On arrival, officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene," a police statement said.
Her death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are continuing into the circumstances, it added.
Winehouse has battled drug addiction for years, having most recently checked back into rehabilitation in May, according to The Huffington Post.

On Twitter, many have been quick to note that Amy Winehouse's name has already been added to the Wikipedia page "27 Club," a "name for a group of influential rock and blues musicians who all died at the age of 27." It includes "a list of six famous rock musicians who died at age 27—Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain," and now, Amy Winehouse.

Update: The Associated Press has clarified the above reports by reporting that "Police confirmed that a 27-year-old female was pronounced dead at the home in Camden Square northern London; the cause of death was not immediately known. London Ambulance Services said Ms. Winehouse had died before the two ambulance crews it sent arrived at the scene."
