While her Hollywood peers were decked out in designer couture, Amy Adams hit the blue carpet wearing a $51 dress.

On Tuesday, Adams wore the blue Ombré Floral Print Sleeveless Fit & Flare dress by Vince Camuto (which is currently sold out at Nordstrom) to the Giffoni Film Festival in southern Italy. At the annual children’s event, she also collected a Giffoni Experience Award and held a master class in acting. The 42-year-old actress accessorized her $51.20 dress (marked down from $128) with black strappy stilettos and wore her hair in a chic side twist.

Her down-to-earth style isn’t surprising — she has a well-known love of leggings and calls Spanx “magic” — and it’s perfectly fitting given that Adams is currently in vacation mode. The Justice League star has been traveling through Positano and the Amalfi Coast with Darren Le Gallo, her husband of two years, and their 7-year-old daughter, Aviana. On their trip, Adams has been spotted around Italy wearing shirtdresses, sandals, and a straw hat.

Camuto, the designer of the blue dress we love, founded the footwear brand Nine West and passed away from cancer in 2015. His fan base included Jessica Simpson, Tory Burch, and Adams, who was recently photographed wearing the designer’s $129 Astar sandals.

Adams, whose dress garnered rave reviews from shoppers for being the “unicorn of dresses,” also made an impression in Italy.

While wearing said dress, Adams found time to dispense some actress wisdom. According to the official Giffoni Film Festival website, when asked by a young girl for tips on breaking into Hollywood, Adams replied, “I’ve never been too good at auditioning, but I learnt that it doesn’t help to brood over or take it personally: All you have to do is move forward and start fresh, without ceasing to study and believe in yourself. Take it from someone who used to be shy … nay is still so.” You could have fooled us, Amy!
