The Netherlands pledged an additional €1 billion ($1.06b) in military aid and €400 million ($425m) to bolster Ukraine's economy and fund critical energy infrastructure repairs, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram on April 12.

“Thank you, Mark, thank you, Dutch people! This is an exemplary example of support for Ukraine,” he wrote after his phone conversation with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, noting that this commitment comes in addition to the obligations outlined in the bilateral security agreement between the two countries.

Zelenskyy also mentioned discussing with Rutte the acceleration of the delivery of artillery shells, ammunition and air defense systems.
