Among Us TV series casts Marvel and The Last of Us stars

The Among Us animated TV series has cast The Last of Us's Ashley Johnson and Marvel star Randall Park in lead roles.
Based on the online multiplayer social deduction game of the same name, which enjoyed a surge of popularity during the COVID pandemic, the Among Us series will follow a similar premise. It will focus on the crew members of a spaceship who are being impersonated and killed by an alien shapeshifter, and who must deduce who is responsible before it's too late.
While further details about the plot of the animated television adaptation have yet to be released, four main cast members have been announced (via Variety), including Johnson and Park.

Best known for voicing Ellie Williams in The Last of Us video games, and for playing Ellie's mother in its TV adaptation, Johnson will voice 'Purple', the ship's Chief of Security.
According to a brief character bio, Purple's mantra is 'Safety, suspicion, sarcasm' and her fun fact is that she has 'trust issues'.
Park, who has starred in various Marvel projects as Agent Jimmy Woo, will voice Red – the captain of The Skeld. Red, a "people-pleaser" and "blowhard", is described as having "failed upwards" to get to his position.

The pair are joined by Community's Yvette Nicole Brown and The Lord of the Rings trilogy star Elijah Wood as 'Orange' and 'Green', respectively.
Orange is a "spineless corporate shill" and a head of HR who "fires you over email", while Green is the unpaid intern who is just "happy to be there".
The animated series comes from CBS Eye Animation Productions and Innersloth, the studio who created the game back in 2018.
The logline of the animated series reads: "Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs."
No release date has yet been announced.
