- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger confirmed Friday he will return to play a 14th season with the team. Roethlisberger's future had been the subject of speculation after the 35-year-old hinted he could retire following the Steelers defeat to New England in the AFC Championship game. However the two-time Super Bowl winner confirmed on Twitter that he is set to return next year. "Informed the team I am looking forward to my 14th season. Steeler Nation will get my absolute best! -- Ben," Roethlisberger tweeted. In January, Roethlisberger, who has been dogged by injuries in recent seasons, said he would take time to discuss his future with his family. "To consider health, and family and things like that and just kind of take some time away to evaluate next season, if there's going to be a next season," he said.
