When Leslie Grossman first found out that she had been cast in American Horror Story: Cult, there wasn’t any sort of hesitation on her end before agreeing to join the team.

“When [AHS creator] Ryan [Murphy] lets you know that he would like for you to be in the next season of American Horror Story, you say, ‘thank you so much, that sounds like a really good idea,'” Grossman said during a segment on Entertainment Weekly: The Show. “Could you imagine if I was like, ‘I don’t know. Try to sell me on it, Ryan.'”

Grossman portrays Meadow Wilton on season 7 of AHS, and the character is married to her best friend from high school, Harrison (Billy Eichner). According to Grossman, her overeagerness to act alongside Eichner may have come off a bit strong initially.

“I had never worked with Billy Eichner before, and I was, and am, a huge fan of Billy on the Street,” explained Grossman. “So, I think I was a little too excited when I met him, and I think he was like, ‘that’s great, nice to meet you. You need to calm it down a little bit — we’re going to be working together. Let’s settle it down.’ Billy is also smart, and funny, and kind, and super talented, which is everything you would want from your scene partner. He was fantastic.”
