American Heart Association gearing up for Central Arkansas Heart Walk

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The American Heart Association is gearing up for its annual Central Arkansas Heart Walk.

Event chairman Wanda King and Kelly Owen from the American Heart Association joined FOX 16 Good Day with what the organization is doing to recruit walkers for the April event.

King and Owen said that Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, The Lion Group and Crye-Leike Realtors were the top businesses to recruit walkers since sign-up began.

The race is scheduled for Saturday, April 7, on Riverfront Drive in North Little Rock. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 9 a.m.
