American Express names McKesson's Jeffrey Campbell as CFO, replacing retiring Henry

NEW YORK (AP) -- American Express Co. said Thursday that it appointed Jeffrey Campbell, an executive at health care company McKesson, as chief financial officer to replace its retiring CFO.

Campbell, 52, will succeed Daniel Henry, 64, who will retire later this year after 23 years with the company. American Express announced Henry's departure in May.

Campbell will join American Express next month and assume the CFO duties in early August following the company's second-quarter earnings release.

Before joining McKesson Corp. as CFO in 2003, Campbell was CFO at AMR Corp. and its subsidiary American Airlines.

Prior to joining AMR in 1990, Campbell was a certified public accountant with Deloitte, Haskins and Sells.
