Amber Heard Seen with Black Eye Leaving L.A. Courthouse After Domestic Violence Claim Against Johnny Depp

Amber Heard had a visible bruise on her right eye as she left the courthouse after filing a domestic violence restraining order against Johnny Depp on Friday.

The actress looked sad but kept her head high as she walked through a crowd of reporters outside of the Los Angeles courthouse. She was seen wearing a long black dress with her hair loose around her shoulders.

"She's being very brave," said Heard's attorney as they got in the car.

Heard, 30, filed for the restraining order following an alleged incident on Saturday that resulted in the cops being called to the actor's downtown Los Angeles apartment, a source alleged to PEOPLE.

"This was only the latest incident," the source says.

A source alleges that Depp was aware that Heard planned file a restraining order against him and tried to pay her money to make it go away.

Heard filed for divorce on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences. The document lists May 22 as the date of separation – just one day after the alleged abuse.

Lawyers for Depp have not responded to requests for comment about the allegations. However, Depp issued a statement on Thursday that said: "Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.""
