Amber Alert: Officers find two missing children in Selma

Law enforcement officers located two missing children in Selma at about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, police reported.

The state issued an Amber Alert for 5-year-old Kaiden Perryman, who law enforcement suspected had been kidnapped by 13-year-old Janayizha Gunn. The children had no injuries, Maj. Saba Coleamn said in an email.

Gunn was driving a white 2011 Chevrolet Equinox with Alabama tag 6357BL5. Perryman was last seen near in the 4100 block of Gateway Drive in Montgomery.

Their mother reported Gunn and Perryman missing at about 2:38 a.m. Tuesday, Coleman said in the email.

Officers first recovered the vehicle before they found the children Tuesday.
