Amazon chief Bezos wants governments to enforce a patent war ceasefire

Amazon (AMZN) CEO Jeff Bezos, like a lot of people, is tired of the never-ending barrage of patent lawsuits being filed throughout the tech industry. And in an interview with the U.K.’s Metro, Bezos said that governments should consider stepping in by reforming their patent laws to lower the frequency of tech patent suits. Specifically, the Amazon chief said that he was worried about ”a world where [patents] might start to stifle innovation” and called on governments to ”look at the patent system and see if those laws need to be modified because I don’t think some of these battles are healthy for society.”
