CLEVELAND (WJW) — Browns record breaking wide receiver Amari Cooper did not play against the New York Jets Thursday night as he deals with an injury, the Browns announced 90 minutes before kickoff.

During pre-game warm-ups, the Browns said Cooper’s injured heel isn’t 100%.

There’s some good news because the Browns played a Thursday night game that gives Amari 10 extra days of rest until Cleveland travels to Cincinnati January 7.

Cooper dazzled Browns fans and befuddled defenders by catching 11 passes for a franchise-record 265 yards and two TDs in a 36-22 win over the Houston Texans to become only the fourth player ever with at least three games with 200 yards receiving and two TDs.

Ohio Lottery cybersecurity incident being investigated

Cooper joined Terrell Owens as the only player to have a 200-yard game with three teams, having previously accomplished the feat with Dallas and the Raiders.
