Amanda Stanton, a Bachelor Nation fan favorite who appeared on Ben Higgins' season as well as two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise, says she's "embarrassed and ashamed" following her arrest for alleged domestic battery early Monday morning (September 10).
Stanton's team released a statement on Wednesday, September 12, about the incident to People. Read it, in full, below.
"Amanda is embarrassed and ashamed this happened and sincerely apologizes to hotel security and the Las Vegas Police Department. Amanda is a gentle, respectful person who has never gotten physical with anyone under any circumstance. That evening she had a few drinks at a bachelorette party and when hotel security asked her and Bobby to quiet down, she got a bit rambunctious. Amanda gave Bobby what she thought was a playful shove; hotel security did their job and reported the incident to the police, who in turn did their job. Despite Bobby explaining this was not an ill-intended shove, the police still had to do their job which Amanda completely respects and understands."
According to TMZ, hotel security for The Encore in Las Vegas responded to a noise complaint early Monday morning. When they arrived, Stanton reportedly shoved her boyfriend, Bobby Jacobs, which prompted security to call the police. People reports another altercation happened between Stanton and Jacobs when the police arrived, leading to her arrest. She was released later that day, per TMZ.
Stanton shared a photo of her and Jacobs on a flight together on Tuesday after she was released. The two have been dating since the spring. (Jacobs is a professional volleyball player.) She hasn't personally said anything on social media about what happened, but stay tuned.
