Amanda Bynes Gives Update on Loving Fashion School as She Returns to Twitter

Amanda Bynes has returned to Twitter.

The former child star surprised her 3.4 million fans and followers when she took to the social media site on Wednesday and gave updates on her life post-Hollywood.

"Hi everybody! I haven't tweeted in a long time and I want to say hi! I've been really busy at FIDM, and I just finished my midterms," Bynes, 30, wrote.

The Hairspray star first enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) campus near Orange County in spring 2014 to study product development, and later transferred to the Los Angeles campus in October 2015.

"Amanda is doing great, enjoying school and thriving creatively," Bynes' lawyer David Esquibias shared with PEOPLE in April. "She appreciates all of the love and support she receives from family, friends and fans."

In her series of tweets, the former actress continued: "I am really loving school and I feel that I am learning a lot. I enjoy all of my classes and my teachers are excellent."

Adding, "I'm really appreciative of all that FIDM is giving me. I've been in school learning about the fashion business so I don't have time to tweet."

On Bynes' budding fashion career, a source previously told PEOPLE "she is working on her own designs, which are incredible thus far. She hopes to launch her line soon."

Bynes previously tweeted a selfie of her new lob haircut in February.
