Alys Beach welcomes 'The Paper Bear' cast for meet-and-greet event

ALYS BEACH — As "The Paper Bear" project nears completion, the filmmakers and Alys Beach officials are gearing up to welcome the movie's stars, Jason Burkey and Max Ivutin, for a meet-and-greet event at the Town Center Amphitheater splash pad on Wednesday, March 13, from 5-7 p.m.

The event, which is free and open to the public, aims to celebrate the upcoming release of the animated feature and generate excitement among fans of the project.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with the actors with specially designed backdrops featuring the film's animated characters and purchase film-related merchandise, with proceeds benefiting black bear conservation efforts.

Film project partners, including Walton County Tourism, The 30A Company and Noli South, will join the celebrations and offer giveaways, including samples of Noli South kombucha.

The night of festivities doesn't end with a meet-and-greet. Attendees also can enjoy live music by the Beach Mountain Blues Band, which is part of Alys Beach's Spring Concert series, from 6-8 p.m. As music echoes through the night, Alys Beach Town Center's restaurants and shops will remain open, allowing guests to enjoy food, beverages and shopping opportunities.

Fans of "The Paper Bear Project" can expect more events in May, as the team will be involved in the 30th annual Digital Graffiti Festival, scheduled for May 17-18.
