Aly Raisman and Chrissy Teigen just started a beautiful friendship on Twitter

Friendships usually start out pretty casually, but when social media and fame are involved, things can escalate quickly.

Chrissy Teigen and Aly Raisman expressed their mutual admiration for each other on Twitter and now they're apparently best friends.

Teigen, who is known for keeping it real on Twitter, started the whirlwind friendship by tweeting at the Olympian: "I don't want to seem forward but I feel like we would be friends please? We love you!"

Just 40 minutes later, Raisman responded with a resounding yes and an offer to send Teigen and Legend's daughter some of her gymnastics leotards.

Of course Teigen said yes, but gave Raisman a warning: "there is no way that between john and I she has any coordination whatsoever but YES!"

Then, Raisman introduced a bit of a bartering system – not a great foundation for a friendship, if you ask us. 

The ever-humble (or imposter syndrome-sufferer) Teigen denied her modeling abilities and presented Raisman with a food-based offer.

Raisman couldn't resist bringing Teigen's husband John Legend into the conversation.

The singer admitted that while his cartwheel skills need work, he does have one gymnastics strength.

Stay calm – Raisman, Teigen and Legend may practice gymnastics together sometime soon. 

This encounter was not Raisman and Teigen's first time interacting with each other – the two actually met back in 2013 on Access Hollywood when Raisman was presented with a random drug test. Teigen was asked if she would pass the drug test, and she said, "I remain hush."
