Alshon Jeffery guarantees a Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl win

The Philadelphia Eagles are 4.5 point underdogs against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, but Alshon Jeffery isn’t embracing that long-shot status. Jeffery has already made one Super Bowl promise that’s come partially true.

While still a member of the Chicago Bears last January, Jeffery promised that they’d make a Super Bowl appearance in the future.

Over a year later, Jeffery is on the verge of playing in his first Super Bowl. With one goal down, Jeffery made another guarantee to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissaro.

Jeffery’s guarantee came in response to Pelissaro asking Jeffery, “If you win this game on Sunday…”

“Ain’t no if. Ain’t no if, man,” Jeffery interjected. “Speak it into existence. When we win this game on Sunday, ain’t no telling [what] we’re going to do, but we’re probably going to celebrate, have some fun.”

“So that’s it, huh? It’s in the bag, Alshon?” Pelissaro retorted.

“We’re bringing that trophy back to Philly, man,” Jeffery replied.

Alshon Jeffery’s ego is flying high.

In context, Jeffery’s promise is less bombastic than Jalen Ramsey’s boisterous vow that the Jaguars would defeat the Patriots in the AFC championship game. Reportedly, Jeffery has made it a habit of encouraging individuals and teammates around to speak as if the Eagles’ victory is a foregone conclusion.
