Alleged stalker of Tik-Tok influencer arrested after being found outside her home

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A TikTok influencer is scared to live in her Oklahoma City apartment after several incidents involving a stalker within the last month.

Richard Newman was arrested on April 10th and found to be the alleged stalker.

“It was scary, I would get messages telling me they knew where I lived and to do whatever they say,” said the victim.

KFOR concealed her name because she said there could be more arrests soon. Her TikTok handle according to documents is @rubberduckiejo or Jo. Her account has thousands of followers and she makes money from it as well.

“I’ve gotten tons of messages from a random account or two that mentioned personal details about where I live, what kind of car I drive, what I do for a living. And I was like, this is someone who knows me,” said Jo.

Documents show that the messages started popping up more in March, and became frequent.

Police were involved when on March 25th Jo woke up and found out that her license plate was stolen and her car window was busted out. All of that cost her over $300 to replace.

But on March 27th police responded to her apartment complex yet again because her window was broken again. But this time Jo had set up surveillance camera’s which caught the vehicle and the people involved.

“That same day the same vehicle came back during the daytime and we were able to get the license plate on it and give it to the police,” said Jo.

On March 28th documents detail that Jo called the police again due to harassment online. This is when the comments became more personal and became threatening.

“It was frightening just not knowing when I was being watched or seen, a lot of mind games. Also whoever was doing it said they had lift things in my mailbox,” said Jo.

Eventually, police found the vehicle with the matching license plate and pulled it over, inside was Justice Dulany.

Documents said that Dulany admitted to police that Newman was allegedly stalking Jo through TikTok. She told police that she never wanted to harm her but that she would comment on live streams as well. However, Dulany also told police that she was there for many of the incidents involving Jo and that Newman was the alleged stalker.

Dulany allegedly told police that Newman was infatuated with Jo and that he had been rejected several times before which upset him. He also allegedly gave money to Jo’s account because he liked her so much.

The affidavit alleges Newman shot out Jo’s windows with a slingshot. It detailed that Dulany was concerned with Newman and that he once mentioned wanting to harm Jo or her mother.

It’s also alleged that Newman would watch Jo’s TikTok and when she went live he would shine a laser pointer in every window at her apartment complex to find out which specific apartment she lived in.

“I was and still am scared to be anywhere near my own home,” said Jo.

At one point she allegedly told police that Newman wanted to buy a firearm but could not afford it. She told police she believed Newman was fully capable of committing physical violence towards Jo due to his size and previous aggressive behavior.

“When I heard he got arrested I was shocked more than anything,” said Jo. “I think that we were just really worried that we were never going to find out who these people were at all.”

Jo said that she knows there are others who are stalking her and that more arrests could come as a result.
