Alicia Keys used her VMA moment to honor Martin Luther King Jr.

On Sunday night, Alicia Keys took the stage to present the award for Best Male Video at the VMAs.

But before presenting the award, Keys took a moment to honor Martin Luther King Jr., whose "I Have a Dream" speech turned 53 on Sunday.

Keys performed an impromptu poem before breaking into a cappella.

Keys then presented the award to Calvin Harris for his video for "This Is What You Came For," featuring Rihanna.
