The restaurant opened in 2019 and quickly secured itself a spot in Pensacola’s fine dining scene, establishing itself with weekly wine tastings and frequent live music.

Soon after opening, the restaurant was crowned the winner of the "best new restaurant" category under the News Journal’s Best of the Bay awards.

The restaurant on 1504 W. Intendencia St. was designed to take on a similar vibe as the building's predecessor, Jamie’s Restaurant, Guy told the PNJ close to the restaurant’s opening. She planned to continue on with the elevated, upscale atmosphere.

Guy brought with her over 30 years’ experience in the wine business, which she complemented by curating a small-plate style wine bar menu. The restaurant also offered a full dinner menu with items catered more toward the traditional dining experience, such as a wide-range of fresh catch, choice meats and the fan-favorite tableside Caesar salad.

No statement has been given regarding the reason behind the closure. Further updates may be found on the Alice's Restaurant Facebook page.
