Food Pantry Needs
The Highland Food Pantry is in need of kids cereal and canned fruit cocktail.
Hamel Food Pantry is in need of mayonnaise, salad dressing, cooking oil, BBQ sauce, soup, coffee, cereal, jelly, Hamburger Helper, pasta sauce, shampoo, dish detergent, toilet paper, laundry detergent and empty egg cartons.
Burning Ban for Alhambra Area
Chief Randy Take announced that due to the high winds and dry conditions, residents are asked to not burn anything until further notice.
In these conditions, fire will spread fast and can become out of control quickly.
Movie With the Minister
Come enjoy a movie with Pastor Jeremy Woods at Salem UCC on Tuesday, March 26, at 7 p.m.
Free popcorn and soda will be provided, but you may bring your own snacks if you wish.
The movie for the evening features Gary Cooper and the name of it is “Friendly Persuasion.” It is about a Quaker Pastor whose convictions are being tested during the Civil War.
Everyone is welcome.
175th Anniversary Mouse Races
The 175th Anniversary Committee will host its second annual Mouse Race fundraiser on Saturday, March 16, at the Alhambra Township Park in the Firemen Legion Hall.
Doors open at 6:30 P.m. with the first race beginning at 7 p.m.
There will be a cash bar with beer and soda. Bring your own snacks. No outside alcohol is allowed in the hall.
Jaycee Pickle Races
The Alhambra Jaycees will host Pickle Races as a fund drive for the Shriners Hospital on Saturday, March 23, 6:30-11 p.m.
The fun and worthwhile event will be held at the Alhambra Township Park in the Firemen Legion building.
Doors open at 6:30 and the first races begin at 7 p.m.
Throughout the evening there will be 50/50 drawings, vibrator races, Big 6 Wheel, cooler of booze and lotto board raffles.
T-shirt Weather Coming
Get your commemorative 175th Alhambra T-shirt at the Village Hall.
Shirts range in price starting at $15 for small-large, 1X or 2X is $16 and 3X and up is $17.
They are well made shirts that have the town logo and 175th Anniversary across the front. Choice of either green or blue color.
