MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says Highway 53 is back open after two wrecks near Toney had some traffic impact.

A two-vehicle crash and another multi-vehicle crash on the highway near Ardwall Road have caused the northbound lane to close.

Officials say the lane was blocked but all lanes of Highway 53 were back open as of 6:47 p.m.
